Problem
A celebrated illustrator and author sought to create a digital ebook for The Saga of Sam McCulloch, a Free Black Man in the Republic of Texas. Unfortunately, she died before she could finish. Help her editor create an illustrated story about Sam McCulloch or a Lone Star Legend celebrating the contributions of minorities to Texas independence.
Project
Together, select pictures from the web and develop a story that models story/plot development. Create a short video with the first elements of a story.

Overview:
Sam McCulloch came to Texas from the United States as a free black man, but had no rights as a citizen under U.S. law. However, under Mexican law Sam was entitled to citizenship and land grants regardless of his race and status. Sam would become a hero of the Texas Revolution but how would the new government treat Sam? Let’s ask Sam.
